FAQS

Where are you based and are you willing to travel for a wedding or event?

We are based in Glasgow. We travel all over Scotland, the UK, Europe & beyond. An additional travel cost is quoted for venues outside a 40 mile radius of Glasgow.

Do you bring your own piano?

We have our own keyboard, microphones and sound equipment that we bring with us to every event. If your venue has an acoustic piano, we are more than happy to use it, as long as it is regularly tuned and in playable condition. If you'd like to hire an acoustic piano for your event, we highly recommend P.S. Pianos in Paisley. 

How long do you play for?

We have different playing times and packages available depending on where we fit into your event or wedding. Contact us to find out more. 

How much space do you require & can you play outside?

We can fit into most spaces allocated to us, as long as there are sufficient power points close by and room for our keyboard and us! We are happy to play outdoors as long as we are supplied power either from the venue or from a hired generator. Even though we are an acoustic duo, we still need electricity for our equipment. Good weather also helps!

Can you learn songs for our event?

We are happy to learn music for your wedding or event. We require 1 month notice to learn and prepare our version of the song/s. Please note that we adapt all requests to suit our style and instruments. Songs will be piano/vocal versions of the original. 

Can you record music for our event?

Yes! We record bespoke versions and arrangements of songs for ceremonies, first dances and special occasions. Contact us to find out more!

Do you have Public Liability Insurance? 

Yes, we are members of The Musicians’ Union and are covered for all aspects of public performance. 

How long does it take you to setup and sound-check? 

From gaining access to the room where your event will take place, we need 30 minutes to set up and sound check. We ask that guests are not present during this time.

 

Do Ginny & The Tonic use backing tracks?

We are a live 2 piece act, with live piano, and 2 vocals. We don’t use any backing tracks.
